Don't let the title deceive you,  I've tried everything.

My problem is as follows, I made a custom modpack using forge, I even got a server with the mods running on my PC. But a custom kitchen sink modpack plus a forge client  with 10+ people connected? not happening. So I buy a dedicated server, sketchy as all hell, but it was cheap, 32GB of ram and whatnot, run through multicraft. I upload everything, it all seems to work, but it's lagging like all hell, and the TPS lag is unreal. My solution was of course to run some java arguments to make sure its using the 32GB of RAM I've bought, and specify garbage collection, etc. But the multicraft panel only allows me to open a .jar file, whether it be custom or from a selected list. So i look up how to set arguments for the forge server.jar, but all I can find online is how to setup a .bat file or how to access a .jar.conf file that doesn't exist, I have found ABSOLUTELY no info on where to stick my java args if I'm only able to launch a server.jar file. I've tried talking to my server providers, reading every forum about issues related to this, talking to multicraft, asking if i can run a .pl file instead. Asking for refunds, anything.
I even tried adding the args straight to the forge files [to no luck] with a friend who is a java wizard, (I'm sorry I didn't read TOS I was desperate, It wont happen again.) and after that had a friend code me up a custom .jar that ran a line of bash directly to the server to launch the forge server.jar with the javaArgs enforced, again to no luck.
TLDR: Need to set JavaArgs without a .bat or .pl file using the regular forge server.jar because its a dedicated server and I've only got access through a panel.

I'm at my wits end and I've been pulling my hair out trying to learn java for the last 5 days.
I just want to play minecraft...

The only way to set the arguments is to either pass them to the java executable or to set the _JAVA_OPTS environment variable.

Yes, But how? There aren't really any guides for this online, And I'm big stupid when it comes to java.

You should speak to your server hoster.

I have, They said they can't help, or that I should switch to spigot/Sponge(IE: re-do everything), or quit trying to mod Minecraft. Not any help at all.

The answer is probably looking me in the face/very stupid, but so am I so I'm looking for anything.

Setting up Multicraft locally I found the conf files in the Multicraft config directory, which is separate from the server's own directory.

Personally I would like to say that after this test I have vowed to never use Multicraft to actually run a server, I'd rather have plain old FTP and ssh rather than this and there are other hosts with proprietary panels that I prefer.

As the most common issue I feel I should put this outside the main bulk:

The only official source for Forge is https://files.minecraftforge.net, and the only site I trust for getting mods is CurseForge.

If you use any site other than these, please take a look at the StopModReposts project and install their browser extension, I would also advise running a virus scan.

Yea Multicraft is TERRIBLE. But its my only option as of now, as the server hosting service wont offer me a refund. also 32GB of ram was too good to not go for 20$ a month. and the config folders on multicraft only link me to the basic .cfg files like operator, banned IP's, the EULA, and the Server.properties, Which as far as i know, doesn't allow for Arguments, maybe there's a way to add them in a resource pack? or a .json, or anything?

I should mention that when I talk about directories I'm talking about filesystem directories, not the page groups in Multicrafts panel,

meaning you would have to set up FTP to access them, if you are allowed to access them at all.

You cannot add command line arguments through anything inside Minecraft, there's simply nothing designed for that purpose and everything loads after it's already too late to add arguments.

Well I just took another look at Multicraft and I don't know how I missed it... there's a "Memory" field in the server panel that acts as -Xmx and under advanced there's "Startup Memory"  for -Xms.

I'm afraid anything more is on your host. As far as I can see Multicraft's startup argument customization only goes as far as toggling pre-set arguments on or off and these arguments are set in a file you apparently don't have access to.

    • Alright, here is the log file https://mclo.gs/5eCwafV

    • I tried updating the mods in my modpack which caused incompatibilities so i have tried to revert them back to their older versions i was using before. In the logs it doesnt show me any clear incompatibilities except for tfmg & entity texture features, but when i try to remove those it still doesn't work. I have tried removing the forge-client.toml file which was a suggestion i found on  a few other posts. This is the log file i get. [inline log removed] Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance
    • I don't use KubeJS, never even heard of it. But after doing what "Ugdhar" suggested earlier in this post with the "config/Mekanism/generator-storage.toml", I tried going into an individual save's serverconfig folder, and just deleting everything except the parcool folder (I have that mod installed.) Then, a bit of loading and temporary freezing later, seems to have worked. Even when quitting to menu and loading back in, or also when quitting to menu, exiting to desktop, and re-launching MC, choose a save and loading it.
    • [Mekanism] Broken tags in Mekanism recipes detected, please check server logs for details. You will be missing some recipes and machines may not accept expected inputs. Do you use KubeJS? It is some kind of bug with it and not fixed A workaround is setting "allowAsyncStreams" to false in the KubeJS common config file https://github.com/KubeJS-Mods/KubeJS/issues/1016   For the rest of your issues, keep deleting these files - now it is the jei-server.toml file If the file is not in config, check the worldsave serverconfig folder These files usually break after updating mods, game crashes or force closing the game
