So I have tried to get this thing to work for hours. I have made sure that my JRE and JDK are up to date and installed on my computer. I've made sure ive run the version of minecraft at least once. I've made sure when trying to run the file with another program that the SE Binary was selected. What is the issue? why won't it run?

Try running it from the command line, what does it say?

This is my Forum Signature, I am currently attempting to transform it into a small guide for fixing easier issues using spoiler blocks to keep things tidy.

As the most common issue I feel I should put this outside the main bulk:

The only official source for Forge is https://files.minecraftforge.net, and the only site I trust for getting mods is CurseForge.

If you use any site other than these, please take a look at the StopModReposts project and install their browser extension, I would also advise running a virus scan.

For players asking for assistance with Forge please expand the spoiler below and read the appropriate section(s) in its/their entirety.

Are you running MultiMC or the default launcher?  If you're running the default launcher, try seeing if the installer actually set up 1.13.2 Forge already and has a profile called "forge" on the MC version drop down menu for creating a new profile with 1.13.2-forge-25.0.107 as the jar.

MultiMC doesn't play nicely with the recoded Forge right now.

If you have to put a disclaimer in your signature claiming you were being nice in your posts chances are you weren't actually being nice and were likely being rather rude.  Next time, actually be nice.

I'm not really sure how to do that.

Looks like it hasn't

Ah, I see the problem.  You need to download the installer, not the launcher.  That will install 1.13.2 Forge so you can set up a new configuration for it.

Right click the .jar file, and select "Open with" and find your javaw.exe executable to run the file.

I don't know what the launcher is for, I just used the installer.

Ahem, I am having the same issue here for hours and did as above.  I use Win10, and java 1.8_201 JDK.  I get as far as it ask if its okay to run the programs, dings the nothing.  I clicked with javaw; then tried javaws and last just java.  I have my favorite mods ready for 13 and been browsing here for help and those prior advice in trying to use MMC but I don't where the stuff goes as seems that everyone knows how too.

If Forge 1.13 gets the use of easier install downloads like prior ones.  I all for it but still like to try the newer stuff.

Thank you for all the help.  Itty

Even if you think you have the same issue please don not hijack threads, if you have an issue please make your own thread.
