Forge 1.12.2 (Mac) wont show up as a launcher.

Recently I have been trying to get forge 1.12.2 to download on my mac, everything works out properly until I run minecraft and look at the launcher, at that point forge doesn't show up, i'm not sure why though because when I check my versions folder forge still shows up, and I have been using the right download site and link.

What launcher are you using? Please provide a screenshot.

1. Do not follow tutorials on YouTube, especially TechnoVision (previously called Loremaster) and HarryTalks, due to their promotion of bad practice and usage of outdated code.

2. Always post your code.

3. Never copy and paste code. You won't learn anything from doing that.

You’re downloading the installer and then running it right? If so you need to create a new launcher profile with Forge as the version in the minecraft launcher after it installs
