Vertex
You guys here are the experts... and I cannot find my answer anywhere. I want to install shaders, but my research shows that it might only be possible for java minecraft. Is there any way at all to install mods and shaders for the windows 10 version of minecraft from windows store? PLEASE give me any advice. Literally no one on the internet ever states specifically if all these mods/shaders I hear about will work or not on MC for Win10 version. Thank you in advance for your help!!!!!!!! DavidM
No. You cannot install any Forge mods or shaders on the Win10 Edition of Minecraft, as Forge does not support the Win10 Edition of Minecraft, which is not written in Java. Do not follow tutorials on YouTube, especially TechnoVision (previously called Loremaster) and HarryTalks, due to their promotion of bad practice and usage of outdated code. 2. Always post your code. 3. Never copy and paste code. You won't learn anything from doing that. 4. Quote Programming via Eclipse's hotfixes will get you nowhere 5. Learn to use your IDE, especially the debugger. 6. Quote The "picture that's worth 1000 words" only works if there's an obvious problem or a freehand red circle around it. Support & Bug Reports: Spoiler 1. Read the EAQ before asking for help. Remember to provide the appropriate log(s). 2. Versions below 1.11 are no longer supported due to their age. Update to a modern version of Minecraft to receive support.
Cadiboo
Forge uses code and concepts that is only applicable to Java (the programming language that the Java edition is written in). The Bedrock edition is written in C++, which is very limited in terms of dynamic code compared to Java and has nothing of the caliber that Forge needs to run. Modding the Bedrock edition might be possible theoretically, but it would be orders of magnitude less safe and easy than modding is on the Java edition. Therefore Mods cannot (currently) be made for the Bedrock Edition. I’m unsure about whether shaders exist for Bedrock, but I think that it’s unlikely and even if they do they will not have access to the wide variety of data that Java’s shaders have and will consequently likely look worse. 1 Quote About Me Spoiler My Discord - Cadiboo#8887 My Website - Cadiboo.github.io My Mods - Cadiboo.github.io/projects My Tutorials - Cadiboo.github.io/tutorials Versions below 1.14.4 are no longer supported on this forum.
