Minecraft 1.5.1, forge 7.7.1.611

 

Seems to have been installed, but no menu option apperars and mods don't work.

 

What else do I need to do?

This thread makes me sad because people just post copy-paste-ready code when it's obvious that the OP has little to no programming experience. This is not how learning works.

Hello SanAndreasP,

 

I followed a you-tube video (

) , which explained how to download/ install "Forge".

Installed as per instructions, deleting META-INF and re-starting Minecraft.

 

All seemed to install OK, but no Menu option.

Have also added the jar/zip file into a self created "Mods" folder under %%\.minecraft\bin - still no luck.

 

Have tried "texture Packs" and they work OK (but not 512x512!!)
