[1.13.2] Crash with Launch Error

I tried a clean install of the 1.13.2 latest forge (25.0.219) using the Twitch launcher and the launcher kicks out this error. The error actually started at version 25.0.216.

 

Windows 10,

 

Failed to download file, the file contents differ from what was expected. log4j-api-2.11.2.jar
Name: log4j-api-2.11.2.jar

Twitch is re-hosting a corrupted jar.

You can either move the library from a standalone Minecraft installation into Twitch launcher's libraries folder or you can tell the standalone launcher to use Twitch's instance foilder as the Game Directory.

This is my Forum Signature, I am currently attempting to transform it into a small guide for fixing easier issues using spoiler blocks to keep things tidy.

 

As the most common issue I feel I should put this outside the main bulk:

The only official source for Forge is https://files.minecraftforge.net, and the only site I trust for getting mods is CurseForge.

If you use any site other than these, please take a look at the StopModReposts project and install their browser extension, I would also advise running a virus scan.

The second option might be easier in my opinion. Just create a new launcher profile, and select the Game Directory option and select the installation of the game in twitch.
