my mods are not loading into minecraft.

Hey, so the problem i have is, ive found the mods i wanted for 1.14.2 and put them into the mods folder in .minecraft. when i load minecraft using forge 1.14.2, it does not show any mods in the game, even though ive put them into the correct folder.

Chances are you're downloading from rehost sites that are flagging non-1.14.2 mods as 1.14.2 compatible to get more clicks, more info on this in my signature below.

no, it still didnt work even though i used a curseforge mod. does the version of the mod have to be the same as forge version?

this happens to me as well but I have all my mods from forge on 1.12.2 and the mods don't pop up in the mods menu. the mod im trying to use is RLCraft.
