Forge 1.14.2 not showing up in Launcher

Hi, I'm trying to play 1.14.2 with forge. I use the jar installer and it installs just fine. I check my versions in .minecraft and forge 1.14.2 is there. I open Minecraft and click on versions and it doesnt show up in launcher... help me please.

I checked the 1.14.2-forge folder and it only had the json file and not a jar file as well.

 

( The first image shows it is in the versions folder but in the second image i'm just saying that it isn't showing up there. [Checked whole list multiple times]. Third image shows that there is only a json file without the jar... )

You should use the new launcher. You’ll want to choose the forge 1.14.2 version for a new/existing profile and then play that profile.

What launcher are you using? Please provide a screenshot.

This is my Forum Signature, I am currently attempting to transform it into a small guide for fixing easier issues using spoiler blocks to keep things tidy.

The only official source for Forge is https://files.minecraftforge.net, and the only site I trust for getting mods is CurseForge.

If you use any site other than these, please take a look at the StopModReposts project and install their browser extension, I would also advise running a virus scan.
