Posted July 13, 20196 yr I can't find what the 1.14.3 equivalency is of @Side only. The problem to solve is that I can't use the RenderPlayerEvent.Pre event on server and need to know how to make it client sided. java.lang.RuntimeException: Attempted to load class net/minecraft/client/renderer/entity/PlayerRenderer for invalid dist DEDICATED_SERVER

Put it in a client-only event subscriber. Don’t use SideOnly/OnlyIn for this stuff. It was not designed for this and it’s a dirty hack that should almost never be used. July 14, 20196 yr Adding @SideOnly will not fix your problem in this case. The @SideOnly annotation will not magically make the associated code specific to a side, but will cause a crash if the associated class is used on a side not specified in the parameters of the annotation. Some tips: Spoiler Modder Support: Spoiler 1. Do not follow tutorials on YouTube, especially TechnoVision (previously called Loremaster) and HarryTalks, due to their promotion of bad practice and usage of outdated code. 2. Always post your code. 3. Never copy and paste code. You won't learn anything from doing that. 4. Quote Programming via Eclipse's hotfixes will get you nowhere 5. Learn to use your IDE, especially the debugger. 6. Quote The "picture that's worth 1000 words" only works if there's an obvious problem or a freehand red circle around it. Support & Bug Reports: Spoiler 1. Read the EAQ before asking for help. Remember to provide the appropriate log(s). 2. Versions below 1.11 are no longer supported due to their age. Update to a modern version of Minecraft to receive support.
