That is what I get when I try to open the forge installer 1.14.4

I run macOS Mojave, if that makes a difference.

I found a thread where someone got this same error when trying to open the universal file, this is not me, I opened the "Installer" file, just like everyone says.

But yet, I still get that message.

I was originally trying to install 1.8.9, but that didn't work either.

Ive tried recommended, latest, almost all the versions, but that message keeps popping up

Ive watched many youtube videos and read threads but none of them have this problem, they double click the installer, and it works.

This is not my case and I am out of ideas.

please help.

Post your installer log, found in the same place you ran the installer

This log will be called either installer.log or named the same as the installer but with .log on the end

Note for Windows users:

Windows hides file extensions by default so the installer may appear without the .jar extension then when the .log is added the log will appear with the .jar extension

Where to get it:

Mojang Launcher: When using the Mojang launcher debug.log is found in .minecraft\logs.

Curse/Overwolf: If you are using the Curse Launcher, their configurations break Forge's log settings, fortunately there is an easier workaround than I originally thought, this works even with Curse's installation of the Minecraft launcher as long as it is not launched THROUGH Twitch:

If you don't see logs generated in the usual place, provide the launcher_log.txt from .minecraft

sorry for the wait, i was away from a computer. But here is a screenshot of the terminal, there is no error message at all, just the window that pops up (see above).

  Forge for 1.21.6 and newer uses EventBus 7, which is a major rewrite. You can read the migration guide here, this explains how to cancel events.
