[Solved] A new WorldGen plant/flower 1.5.1

I've used just about every tutorial I could find on the net including the ones here, trying to find one that will help me spawn my own plants in the world. I am currently using the ore generation code to try to add my plants but it's not working. Has anyone seen a tutorial anywhere that works for the new forge?

EDIT: I know there are hooks in place in forge already, but I guess that I am not getting something right. My plant is like a flower except it doesn't spread. Basically like a pumpkin. To be more specific, my plant is a block that I want to randomly generate in the world and do nothing else. No ticks, no onNeighborChange stuff.

EDIT 2: Well I figured it out finally, but I really doubt that it's conventional. Although a bit unorthodox I'll create a small tutorial and post it for those that are having the same issue I was. [glow=red,2,300]10 Votes = Tutorial[/glow].
