(solved) There is no option to install forge. Help

Every time I download Forge, it gives me a .jar file filled with folders and files, but no installer. I've looked through all of them but there is no option to install it. When I look at videos of people downloading it, they get the installer instantly without any .jar file. How do I install it?

This happens to me with every version. Where is the installer file located, if there is one?

Oh, I think I need to install Java first. How do I delete this post?

The installer is a .jar file, You need Java installed to run it.

You can't delete posts but you can edit the top post to add "[SOLVED] " to the title.
