Hello, I wanted to know how I can work with player data at his entrance. My task is this:
1. Get the name or address of the player when he logs on to the server.
2. Contact the mod in the database for information
3. Work with information from the mod.

Hello. I need to get data from the database and display it directly on the screen to the player. How can this be implemented at Forge? Someone wrote about packages, someone said that you can use jdbc. But the mod is not the main component of the regime. The main role is taken by the plugin to the server with mods. I only need a mod to work with data from the database.

This is sounding creepy, you're trying to track players and keeping a database of their info?

This is my Forum Signature, I am currently attempting to transform it into a small guide for fixing easier issues using spoiler blocks to keep things tidy.

As the most common issue I feel I should put this outside the main bulk:

The only official source for Forge is https://files.minecraftforge.net, and the only site I trust for getting mods is CurseForge.

If you use any site other than these, please take a look at the StopModReposts project and install their browser extension, I would also advise running a virus scan.

For players asking for assistance with Forge please expand the spoiler below and read the appropriate section(s) in its/their entirety.

I think OP is asking how to store player data when the player logs off, and fetch the data when the player logs back on.

@MuffinColor In server plugins this is commonly done via a database, but in Forge it is better to store the data in player capabilities.

Some tips:

Data is already saved and processed through the plugin.  Roughly speaking, in the database I have the level and experience of the player, and I need to display this text through the mod on the screen

Is this a server-side or client-side mod?

Server-side: Your mod and the plugin are running in the same JVM. The Plugin simply needs to expose an API to access the data and then the mod can use that API. Normal methods calls, no magic.

Client-side: Your plugin needs to send custom payload packets which you then receive client-side in the forge mod.

As far as I know, the mod should be on the client side and on the server. Or is this not true? I just recently work with mods. before that there were only spigot plugins
