I spent too long trying to figure out how to do this simple process with the new Minecraft launcher. And the one video I found took way too long to get to the point. So here it is, in 6 minutes, how to get multiple copies of Forge, in all different versions, running on Minecraft Launcher. I hope it helps to shorten somebody else's search. :)

Enjoy!

Ya, this isn't *bad* but it isn't good practice to put things into the versions folder. I typically recommend people create a "profiles" or "packs" folder if they want to shove it all into the .minecraft directory.

I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated.

I suppose there's no reason why it couldn't work that way, but why don't you put things into Versions? I'm not arguing, it's just the method I was shown, and it worked fine. What issues come up?
