I have a mod that I want to upgrade and I wanted to know how to do so or is it possible to do so. What are the steps involved to do this? Or is there a program that lets me do this?

It would require the permission from the original mod author, the mod sourcecode, and the Java/forge knowledge to make the required changes.

 

There is no program that can automagically do this.
