Forge for version 1.14.4 not launching

Trying to start ANY pack through the twitch launcher, with or without any mods fails to start minecraft with no real error code. logs are provided, pack had no mods in it to test if it would launch

Yeah general consensus is that the twitch launcher sucks bad and breaks stuff with forge all the time.

I forget who it was that has something in their signature for how to run twitch mod packs using the vanilla launcher and not the twitch one. You could probably google "how do i run a twitch modpack with vanilla launcher?" and get something telling you how.

i mean, it has worked 100% of the time for every older version of forge. so any pack before 1.14.x works 100% of the time. its the new version of forge with the stuff they changed. and i can try running it alone

Yeah, I've used the twitch launcher and had varying results.

Running through the vanilla launcher seems pretty easy,

-download the twitch modpack

-make sure you have the same version of forge installed normally as the twitch pack needs

-Create a new MC installation with that forge version, and just point the game directory to the pack folder in the twitch instance folder

-profit!

ok so twitch launcher 100% at fault. i see why FTB made their own launcher again, kinda an annoyance in my opinion but nothing forge can do when its twitch that cant get their shit together. thanks for help!
