I was using this new, updated tutorial (https://cadiboo.github.io/tutorials/1.15.1/forge/) and followed each step correctly. However, once I got to section 1.1, I got confused. (I am using eclipse IDE). I imported the project just fine, until the tutorial shows that there is a folder called IDE in the MDK. My MDK does not have a folder called IDE. I am very confused. Please help!

Note : I am fine with using another tutorial, as long as it is not more challenging than this one. I want to be able to code mods for Minecraft in java, and so far I tried many tutorials, yet none seem to be working.

If you're referring to step 5, that step shouldn't actually be necessary

This is my Forum Signature, I am currently attempting to transform it into a small guide for fixing easier issues using spoiler blocks to keep things tidy.

As the most common issue I feel I should put this outside the main bulk:

The only official source for Forge is https://files.minecraftforge.net, and the only site I trust for getting mods is CurseForge.

If you use any site other than these, please take a look at the StopModReposts project and install their browser extension, I would also advise running a virus scan.

For players asking for assistance with Forge please expand the spoiler below and read the appropriate section(s) in its/their entirety.

What that nstep is meant to do should already have been done when you imported the project I believe

Ok. So I am on step 8, and I edited my run configuration like they did in the tutorial. I tried it out, but it just gives an error. This is the following error

Error: Could not find or load main class net.minecraftforge.userdev.LaunchTesting
Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: net.minecraftforge.userdev.LaunchTesting

How would I solve this?

Thank you so much for writing quickly back to me.

You imported as a Gradle project, right? Not a regular Eclipse project?
