"You need to run the version 1.5.2 manually at least once"

For context: I'm currently on a mac, I'm trying to download a few mods for 1.5.2, and I'm having issues installing the forge for 1.15.2

Whenever I click the "Install client" and click "Okay" I get the prompt "You need to run the version 1.5.2 manually at least once"

I understand that I should need to run the client but I do not know how. I've already run 1.5.2.

I've run 1.5.2 (as shown above), many times. I was wondering if this had to do with Running the Forge Client for this version... But I don't know how to run the client if it won't let me install the client.

If you could please give me some feed back on how to install the 1.5.2 Recommended Release for Minecraft Forge, please reply to this thread.
