The forge installer appears as .jar and not as a .exe file

I've been trying to install forge lately on my computer bc i was planning on doing a server for some friends, the problem is that when i download the installer of the file, the name ends in .jar and not .exe, so i can't install it.

Is there any way to solve this or is it a problem with my computer?

That is supposed to happen. Run the jar file.
