Forge installer does not run.

Title. The installer doesn't do anything.

dose it just say  this 'Unpacking packed file scala-compiler-2.10.2.jar.pack.xz' but never finishes?

No, my computer will not select a program to use to open the jar file. I have jdk.

You can try running the installer from the commandline

java -jar <installer file name>

 

do not include the < >, make sure the filename is correct (you should be able to press TAB after the first few letters of the filename), and make sure you are in the folder the file is in.
