Forge is not opening or creating a client

so pretty much i down;load forge from the official website skip the ad and it downloads, when i go to open the file it opens in internet explorer and then allows me to do nothing else with it, there is no client just the downloaded folder, im not sure what to do.

Did you even read my reply to your other post? You shouldn't just create another post about the same issue.

 

Do you have Java installed?

I'm not 100% sure what you mean.

You should now be able to create an installation (if one was not already created) in your Minecraft Launcher for forge, then download mods from curseforge.com and put them in the mods folder of the game directory (%APPDATA%\.minecraft by default unless you create a new one when you set up your installation).

That would indicate you are trying to download a modpack (which you would need the twitch client to install them) as opposed to individual mods.
