[1.15.2] trying to set up my mod, getting strange launch crash

New(ish) to modding, just decided to get back into it. All I've done so far is set up some of the mod information (mainly just the mod id and stuff) but whenever I try to launch it, it crashes with this error:

I've also tried just running the default examplemod that extracts with the mdk and i get the same error.
