Pixelmon reforged freezing screen

So i have installed and reinstalled pixelmon reforged at least 3 times and i have still had this issue and i have scoured the internet for a couple of hours now and i cannot fine even a mention of an issue similar to this but i know that other people have had this issue because atleast 2 of my friends have had the same issue, and i have tried to mess with my ram and everything but its still the same issue. so basically i can get into a game of pixelmon and everything for around a minute sometimes less is fine  but then the screen just freezes while i can still interact with everything and even type in chat im at a loss for what to do please help

1.12 is no longer supported due to age.

Please update to a modern version (1.14.4/1.15.2) to receive support.
