Using the old launcher. Version 1.6.89-J

 

I already installed many of the latests versions of the launcher but they're either not in the Versions tab in the launcher or don't even start at all.

 

I need help on this. Am I missing Libraries or something?

    Use the new launcher.

     

    Make sure the launcher is closed when installing forge. If it is not working, please post the installer log, and a screenshot of the launcher window with the versions dropdown at the top of the list as well as the bottom of the list. That should give enough info to start figuring out what's breaking on you :)
