[SOLVED][1.15.2 - 31.2.0] Adding other mods to dev env.

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Hey !

I am looking forward to add dependencies to my mod.

dependencies {
    minecraft 'net.minecraftforge:forge:1.15.2-31.2.0'
    compile('org.squiddev:cc-tweaked-1.15.2:1.88.1')
}

By doing so I was able to add cc:tweaked to my Dev env, but it is not loaded when I start the game.

And if I try to insert it in the mods folder there is an obfuscation problem and CC is not able to be started.

What am I doing wrong ?

Here is the except. when it's not in the mods folder:

[19:20:35] [Render thread/FATAL] [ne.mi.fm.ModLoader/CORE]: Error during pre-loading phase
net.minecraftforge.fml.ModLoadingException: Mod §ebperipherals§r requires §6computercraft§r §o1.88 or above§r
§7Currently, §6computercraft§r§7 is §o§nnot installed
	at net.minecraftforge.fml.ModLoadingException.lambda$fromEarlyException$0(ModLoadingException.java:63) ~[forge-1.15.2-31.2.0_mapped_snapshot_20200514-1.15.1-recomp.jar:?] {re:classloading}

And here is the one when the mod is in it:

[19:32:09] [modloading-worker-3/ERROR] [ne.mi.fm.ja.FMLModContainer/LOADING]: Failed to register automatic subscribers. ModID: computercraft, class dan200.computercraft.ComputerCraft

Having the same problem with other mods. I got JEI working with this method following their wiki on which repository/dependency to use, but cant get any others to work. Whats the best way to run a mod's API or the mod itself when the client runs from my intelleji or eclipse?

try

compile fg.deobf('org.squiddev:cc-tweaked-1.15.2:1.88.1')

idk if that will work but i have mine set up as

// at runtime, use the full JEI jar
    runtimeOnly fg.deobf("mezz.jei:jei-${mc_version}:${jei_version}")

    // Adds ProjectE as Dependency
    compile fg.deobf(curse.resolveID('projecte', project.projecte_file))

Nope that does not work, there's still the same exception :(

[09:40:09] [modloading-worker-5/ERROR] [ne.mi.fm.ja.FMLModContainer/LOADING]: Failed to register automatic subscribers. ModID: computercraft, class dan200.computercraft.ComputerCraft

Did you remove it from your mods folder when you added the fg.deobf to your build.gradle?

This is my Forum Signature, I am currently attempting to transform it into a small guide for fixing easier issues using spoiler blocks to keep things tidy.

As the most common issue I feel I should put this outside the main bulk:

The only official source for Forge is https://files.minecraftforge.net, and the only site I trust for getting mods is CurseForge.

If you use any site other than these, please take a look at the StopModReposts project and install their browser extension, I would also advise running a virus scan.

For players asking for assistance with Forge please expand the spoiler below and read the appropriate section(s) in its/their entirety.

What features of their architecture make refactoring difficult? And what techniques are used to protect these mods? I am interested in technical aspects in order to better understand the bytecode and Forge loader system."

    • Title: Why Is It So Hard to Rename and Restructure Mods Like Xray or AntiXray? 🤔 Post text: Hey everyone! I’ve been digging into Minecraft modding for a while and have one big question that I can’t figure out on my own. Maybe someone with more experience could help or give me some advice. Here’s the issue: When I take a “normal” Minecraft mod — for example, one that just adds some blocks or new items — I can easily change its structure, package names, or even rebrand it entirely. It’s straightforward. But as soon as I try this with cheat-type mods like XrayMod or AntiXray, everything falls apart. Even if I just rename the classes, refactor the packages, or hide its identity somehow, the mod either breaks or stops working properly. XrayMod in particular is proving to be a nightmare to modify without losing its core function. So my question is — why is this so much harder with cheat mods like Xray? Is there something fundamentally different about how they’re coded, loaded, or protected that prevents simple renaming or restructuring? And if so, how can I actually learn to understand someone else’s cheat mod enough to safely refactor it without breaking the core features? I’ve already been spending over two months trying to figure this out and haven’t gotten anywhere. It feels like there must be some trick or knowledge I’m missing. Would really appreciate any thoughts, tips, or references — maybe there are guides or techniques for understanding cheat-mod internals? Or if you’ve successfully “disguised” a cheat mod like Xray before, I’d love to hear how you did it. Thanks in advance for any help or discussion. ✌️
