Hebus31 Posted June 5, 2020 Posted June 5, 2020 (edited) Greetings, I have read the FAQ and checked. Please don't ban me! I am a teacher and we have a minecraft server at school which is pretty cool. We decided to move up a level and add forge on our server! We are using 1.14.4. -The issue comes when I try to install the server version (which is hosted at school). - Tried to install the .Jar file everywhere, the same message pops up: Failed to download version manifest, can not find server jar URL. - I have the latest java. - I tried jar.fix - I have done some research and I think, the school network blocks the forget.minecraft.net hence it can't find the server... I might be wrong, as I am not a specialist. If that is the case, I can ask the technitians to whitelist the site. But what is it? Hope that makes sense! installer.log Edited June 5, 2020 by Hebus31 messed up title Quote

Ugdhar Posted June 5, 2020 Posted June 5, 2020 I would say at the very least to whitelist files.minecraftforge.net I am unsure of other addresses required (if there are any), I had thought there was a way to make the installer log verbosely, but I haven't been able to find out how in a few minutes of searching. Not sure if it will work, but you could try installing the server offsite, and then copying/zipping the server folder to a USB and copying it to the server, and see if that works. Quote
Hebus31 Posted June 5, 2020 Author Posted June 5, 2020 This is a good idea. Thanks! I'll try that! It might take some time. I'll post when I have an answer. Quote
