CloudyBuddy Posted July 15, 2020 Posted July 15, 2020 Hey, I've just got Minecraft and Forge yesterday and I've got a problem. I wanted to play some older mods and thought it wouldn't work, so I asked a friend for advice and she told me to change the Forge version (I have Java). I did and tried to play. The mods didn't work though. So I tried to change it back to the current version. But it didn't work anymore at all. While yes, I still got into Minecraft Forge, it didn't even show me a ''Mods'' button. I tried to reinstall it, but it still didn't work. What should I do? Quote
sciwhiz12 Posted July 15, 2020 Posted July 15, 2020 Are you sure that you are actually loading Minecraft Forge? As in, the bottom-left text in the main menu says the Forge version? Please post the logs/debug.log, so we can see the errors, if any. If there isn't a debug.log, post the latest.log; you may not be loading Forge at all. Also, please state the version of Minecraft you are playing. Beware that 1.14 and below are unsupported. Quote

Expand Yes, I am loading Minecraft Forge and it is shown in the bottom left text. I'm playing the 1.16.1 version of Minecraft. debug.logFetching info... Quote
sciwhiz12 Posted July 15, 2020 Posted July 15, 2020 There's no Mods button? And you don't have mods in the mods folder, correct? Please try creating a world, then hold `F3 + C` to force a crash, then post the crash report here. Quote
CloudyBuddy Posted July 15, 2020 Author Posted July 15, 2020 Yep. crash-2020-07-15_16.57.25-client.txtFetching info... Quote
sciwhiz12 Posted July 15, 2020 Posted July 15, 2020 That's the wrong bug report; that's for an entirely different bug: #6692 on the tracker. Please redo the `F3 + C`, and post the most recent crash report after the subsequent crash. Quote
