I don't see this as a need considering their are mods to show your fps, but I use the xbox game bar fps meter and hook it up to most of my games. In vanilla 1.16 they made xbox game bar compatible with Minecraft Java. With forge, it's not the case. I don't necessarily see this as something it's missing, but it would be a nice addition.

You'll have to be more specific on what you think we changed to make the xbox app not detect Minecraft anymore.

Because it does indeed detect it and run fine on my machine.

I just assumed it did it for any full screen OpenGL/DirectX program it detected.

Perhaps someone who knows rendering can double check.

I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated.

If this is the case then it's probably a problem with my machine or a mod. I apologize for incorrect information.
