Posted November 9, 20204 yr Hello im using the latest version of forge and im trying to give an effect to the player that sort of emulates elytra flight. Kind of gliding. Is there a way to do this? Im pretty new at modding but I kinda think it would be something like subscribing to onPlayerEntityUpdate, then checking if that player has that effect, next reduce falling speed? ... Thanks!
November 10, 20204 yr Find the existing elytra math (I think it is in the LivingEntity class). Copy it. Create a player tick event handler (check phase). Paste code. You'd then have to do some fiddling to fix any syntax issues, but really that's about all you need to do. Apparently I'm a complete and utter jerk and come to this forum just like to make fun of people, be confrontational, and make your personal life miserable.
