Trying to Download Forge

I watched a video on how to download it and the process was nothing like what I was doing. How To Download & Install Forge in Minecraft 1.16.4 - YouTube I got the installer downloaded then I got this image. Can someone please explain how to do it better.

I am having the same problem. My pc asks to "Choose an App" to open the forge installer in. The two options it gives me is notepad and to look for an app in the Microsoft store. No matter what I do it doesn't let me open it in Java.

Make sure you have Java installed and try running Jarfix once, then try the installer again.

Also, update to a modern Minecraft, 1.8.9 isnt supported on the forums.
