Server booting problem

Hello I'm having a problem where an error pops up when trying to run a bat file for my Minecraft server.

 

A problem occurred running the Server launcher.java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException
        at java.base/jdk.internal.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke0(Native Method)
        at java.base/jdk.internal.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(Unknown Source)

Caused by: java.lang.ClassCastException: java.base/jdk.internal.loader.ClassLoaders$AppClassLoader cannot be cast to java.base/java.net.URLClassLoader

I've also just found a post from 2018 on how to fix it but do not understand what I'm spouse to do and tried to mimic but failed.

ps the server is forge 1.12.2

1.12 is no longer supported on this forum.

Please update to a modern version of Minecraft to receive support.
