It may seem silly, but I just can't find how to cancel particles of potion effects or replace them, please tell me. I didn't even find a hint of calling them or drawing them

If you want to change them, you're going to have to set visibility to false (so the default particles don't spawn) and spawn your own in Effect#applyEffectTick.

Forgive me if I am wrong, but wouldn't that only work for players, since potion effects are not synched to the client for other entities?

Your question is somewhat vague. Is this for your own effect or in general? Generally an effect can be set invisible (see EffectInstance#visible), which means it won't spawn any particles.

If you want to change them, you're going to have to set visibility to false (so the default particles don't spawn) and spawn your own in Effect#applyEffectTick.

I have similar question, but in my case i am curious how to make effect produce less particles than usual, like particles from invisibility effect (their number is less comparing to other effects). Is there any way to achieve that?

The procedure would be the same as for custom particles.

In that case what method should i call in Effect#applyEffectTick to spawn them? I tried to find out in game files, but found nothing

Show what you tried.

I actually tried nothing, i mean i don't even know where i can find method that creates potion particles in Forge library. Effect#applyEffectTick has two args: LivingEntity and int, and there is no such method in LivingEntity class. The only method i know and can use is World#addParticle, but if i use this method, potion particles from my effect and vanilla effects don't mix in one color, but they should do, so that is the issue. I aslo don't know what ParticleType should i use: ENTITY_EFFECT or AMBIENT_ENTITY_EFFECT, i don't know what is the difference between them
