Go into the options.txt for your minecraft instance and where it says resourcePacks: make sure the square brackets are empty. If it still crashes after that then post a new log.

Please provide your debug.log as described in my signature. The installer is the intended method of installing Forge. Edit: Hold on a second... Could you post the texture too please.

Alternately you could use the latest version of Forge which has this issue somewhat fixed.

mcmod.info does not work in the IDE as far as I'm aware, regardless that is not directly related to your problem at this time. If you changed things please push the changes to your repo.

If you already have a Java 8 version installed and run into this issue then you had a later version installed at the same time. If this is the case you need to specify the full path to the Java 8 java.exe instead of just invoking "java".
