  11. at the moment you can't, vanilla has a function (Biome#getHeightAdjustedTemperature) which modify the temperature the higher you go i have create a PR which allows you to extends the TemperatureModifier enum, If my PR is added to Forge you can create a custom TemperatureModifier which changes the temperature, so that the Biome#getHeightAdjustedTemperature returns the original temperature

  13. that's not a forge related error, report this bug to Optifine but note Optifine is still in a preview version (the Forge compatible version you are using)
  14. unfortunately you can't, if you have created a backup of your world you can try to load this world, it can also be that minecraft has create automatically a backup of your world, you need to look at the backup folder its in .minecraft/backups you also could post the debug log (when you run the game and load the world), then we may be able to find the error
  15. Java 17 is not supported by forge yet. Also Minecraft 1.16 requires java 8-15, you currently using java 17 downgrade your java to 8-15 and the problem should be fixed.

  21. damn my mistake it's an known issue that the old installers don't work, and they will be fixed eventually. Use a modern version for the time being.
