Hi everibody! I am having an issue making a custom arrow.... The problem i have is that when i shot the arrow on a block this doesn't stay in the block but it falls... Now, for what reguarding the FOV Zoom, how can i added it to my custom bow without editing the original code? I know that simply extending the ItemBow has no effect because in the original code it is written that only if the item is the Bow (and not an instance of ItemBow) there is the zoom

Hi everybody! I'm updating my bows form 1.6.4 to 1.7.2, but using the same code for rendering the bow in 3rd person it doesn't work in 1.7.2, while it works in 1.6.4. I don't know why, it gives me no errors, i have tested the class and i saw that it only "run" the constructor, not the other functions, wich are the functions who draw the bow in 3rd person view... Alright! Almost done I've added this two lines in my main mod class EntityRegistry.registerGlobalEntityID(EntityRubyArrow.class, "rubyArrow", EntityRegistry.findGlobalUniqueEntityId()); EntityRegistry.registerModEntity(EntityRubyArrow.class, "rubyArrow", 1, this, 128, 1, true); the registerModentity has different values from yours because the arrows rotate while shooting, so i've changed the last 3 values and now goes good. The only two things left are: The collisions The FOV Zoom When i shoot the arrow and this hit a block, sometimes it won't go in the block, but if fell. I noticed that is only a rendering thing, because when i'm trying to take back the arrow, it only does when it hit, not where it actually is. Also there is no FOV Zoom while using the bow, and i don't know how to make this without modifiyng the EntityPlayer class, wich do this for the normal bow. So there is not the problem to make the mistake to give same id to different blocks? The game itself assigns an automatic id to the blocks? Edit: cool, the Ore Ruby has already a translated name in the game O_O I'm italian, i didn't added a translation method yet, but i see the ore name in italian, not tile.oreRuby.name but "Rubino Grezzo", "Ruby Ore" in english. Lol. Also it seems like i've supposed, the game itself give an unique id to the blocks, wich is really cool. Thanks for help me, i'll close this post

I know, but i've tried to make it in the init function because it doesn't work in pre init method, i've already a 1.6.4 version of the mod, i know where all things go but it seems that is wrong in 1.7 EDIT: I've changed it again right now and it worked O_O and so yes, i'm a stupid (doh!). Aniway, why the id of this block is 165 and not 1000 like i specify?

Yes sorry i've looked for it and i'm looking all the list of packets --EDIT: it seems there is no packet who write on a block, only the Packet130UpdateSigns it does, so i have created a CustomNetHandler and a CustomPacket equal to the Packet 130 but it has no effects.... maybe i'm missing something?

I can also do it, but if you see i have differents chat messages based on the results and the level of the block. The block has 3 power level, if he find no blocks, it will show a message, if he find a block, i will show "I found something", if is level 1, "I found 10 block", if is level 2, "I found 10 blocks and one of them is at x..." if is level 3.... A button who send a message will send the same message i guess --Edit: alternatively how can i print messages directly on the block? For example, if he found no blocks, it will appear an X on the block, so the player is no more necessary

mmm... it's strange because basically it's the same system that uses command blocks. Infact if i, player, activate a command block, a chat message in MY chat appear, not in the other player's chat. So i know thath there must be a way to do this, but i can't figure how to do that.... In the command class to send a chat message it uses a ChatMessageComponent, which is simple to create, and a ICommandSender, wich i don't know how to instantiate...

Ok, but i want to send a chat message only to one player, the one who activate the block. For example, the block is connected to a lever or to a redstone circuit and in the world there are 2 or more players. I want to send a chat message only at the player who activate the lever or the circuit, so my question is: how can i understand wich player activate the circuit and send him a message?

Is what i've dobe first, basically i've copied the redstone lamp class. The problems are the chat messages because i can make a custom function like the onBlockActivated wirhout EntityPlayer parameter and it works fine. But i want to add a chat message when the block has an input, like when you run a command... I've already see the command block class but it wasn't help....
