  3. Locking this thread. 1) As stated, ads are how we pay the bills here at Forge. So bypassing our installer/downloads is not helpful 2) Your initial post makes it extremely clear that you have spent ZERO time actually doing any research into how anything in Forge or Minecraft modding is setup. All of this is open source, you can see exactly whats going on. You can see what the different jars and options are for by just looking at the installer and the minecraft folder post install. 3) The installer can ALREADY be modified to bundle any modpacks you want, you just have to look into it. Tho again this bypasses our downloads so its discouraged. 4) Mod/ModPack installation is stupid simple, literally "Install Forge, Put mods in mods folder" you don't need a custom installer for that.

  5. Nothing of consequence in this area has changed since 1.8 so im not understanding why you are unique in that you are the only one experiencing this random stall.

  7. Interesting, try killing your AV/Firewall/Whatever you have going temporarily. If you know how i'd say just boot into safe mode and see if it will boot. There is nothing going on here, it's like something is forcing your java to stall. Outside of Minecraft.

  9. config/splash.properties But ya, your log that you're showing doesn't show any issues just the first 7 seconds of the loading. Just leave it be and let it load, if it lasts for like 3+ mins then there may be an issue and you should post the new logs.

  11. Due to how Windows/Minecraft works during loading if you click the screen it will put up that message. The process hasnt actually stopped windows jsut thinks it does. Enable the loading screen to get feedback on how things are running.

  17. Once the transfer is fully done and everything is stable. The plan is to re-evaluate all of the systems we use and look into better solutions. But the important part is to make sure everything is stable/cleaned up so we can get a full lay of the land.

  19. Its typically the modder's responsibility to report bugs to us because they are the ones who know the most about it and can provide the actual code context. But whatever. https://github.com/MinecraftForge/MinecraftForge/commit/6b8466778e23226e686bcd0c83769804541eac49

  21. 1) As Erino said, moving from a singelon based system to a per-instance data holder would screach minecraft to a hault. Eat all the resources your system has and make the game unplayable. 2) Again as Erino said we have the ability for you to do that in forge using Capabilities that are only serialized when they are needed to be. However I'm still not sure what the hell you're talking about beyond that as you're just throwing around buzzwords. Items in vanilla will eventually be getting properties much like blocks did, we know this because Mojang said so. How they will implement it nobody knows. But as we sit we don't need to do anything about it.
  22. The loading screen has profiling information in the logs. You can use that to determine what mods you should remove to speed things up. However, we don't support 1.7.10 anymore. Update, or you're on your own.
  23. 1) No, not going to happen 2) Items will eventually get a properties system, Mojang has stated this, when that'll happen, we don't know. Beyond that not sure what you're meaning...
