I would have posted this in the support Subforum, but the EAQ kinda seemed like i'm not supposed to post this there, as i neither have an actual issue, nor a crash/bug, so here i go.

While Teleporting back and forth between two locations i have to wait up to 20 seconds for anything to not be "Waiting for server..." anymore, because of my bad internet connection.

Would Specify a value other then the default 0 for dormantChunkCacheSize in the forgeChunkLoading.cfg potentially allow an improvement of these loading times?
Are there any problems that can appear from that, that i have to be weary about?

Sorry again if this is not the right place to ask for that.

few seconds does more sound like 5 then 20

    Dormant chunks wont solve networking issues. It just saves IO time on the server. So it all depends on what actually is taking all the time.

    There really isn't much you can do until you identify what the issue is.

    I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated.
