I ran the installer to download a forge server, but I can't seem to get it to run with any sort of jar mod. The error is the same one that the client spits out when it's modded.

[iNFO] [ForgeModLoader] Registering Forge Packet Handler
[sEVERE] [ForgeModLoader] There is a binary discrepency between the expected input class net.minecraft.network.NetServerHandler (jz) and the actual class. Checksum on disk is 1d09941a, in patch 3eae5604. Things are probably about to go very wrong. Did you put something into the jar file?
[sEVERE] [ForgeModLoader] The game is going to exit, because this is a critical error, and it is very improbable that the modded game will work, please obtain clean jar files.

I tried using "-Dfml.ignorePatchDiscrepancies=true" but that doesn't seem to make a difference.

Am I doing something wrong, or are server jar mods no longer compatible with forge (which also qualifies as "doing something wrong," I guess)?

(Before anyone asks, the mod was compiled with forge and works fine in single player. It edits base files, so it doesn't work from the mods folder.)

I can't seem to upload the server log file (Cannot access attachments upload path), so I guess I'll just paste it in a spoiler?

Also, "discrepency" should probably be spelled "discrepancy."

There is always a better way to do it.Just keep this mantra in mind.

FORGE itself doesn't edit the jar file, So why would something a hell of a lot less complex need to?

I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated.
