[1.17.1] Plant doesn't render with cutout texture

Hello,

I have been trying to make a plant that has transparent parts. I'm pretty sure I need to set the RenderType to cutout for this, but what I have currently isn't doing anything.

Is the Event fired because your code looks okay, you also can test cutoutMipped (not sure if the method is correct spelled)

You're right, the event wasn't fired. Turns out it was fired on the mod event bus instead of the forge one. Thank you!

How to add my mob to another mod's biome in 1.20.1.

You can add mob spawns using Forge's Biome Modifiers feature. I won't go into details on how to use a data generator for them, but here's a simple example:
