I've been trying to install Forge for a few days but when it's almost done it fails and says "Failed to run processor: java.io.EOFException:Unexpected end of ZLIB input stream" I've been trying to find help online but i don't know.

That means a jar file somwhere got corrupted in the download.

Go to your user home folder (C:/Users/<username> on Windows, /home/<username> on Linux, /Users/<username> on MacOS) and delete the folder named .gradle

This'll delete everything it downloaded and hopefully give you a clean slate to get it going.

Uh, wait, i thought this was a different folder. That was advice for a modder, disregard it.

You need to go into your temp folder and delete all folders that start with forge_installer, then try the installer again

Curse/Overwolf: If you are using the Curse Launcher, their configurations break Forge's log settings, fortunately there is an easier workaround than I originally thought, this works even with Curse's installation of the Minecraft launcher as long as it is not launched THROUGH Twitch:

  I've been trying to use Forge for a 1.12.2 mod using the Prism Launcher and I've been getting crashes with exit code 6. The console log is this. I've tried running Optifine as a test mod and I have tried running with no mods, but both gave the same result.

  That is a Fabric log, and this being the Forge website, you would probably get better help wherever Fabric support is given. I haven't used it myself, but others have, and maybe someone will know how to help, but not as likely as if you were asking a forge question.

  Hello everyone, in the last days I wanted to create a modpack so I could have fun with my friends whilst playing one of my favourite games. But when I tested the modpack I couldnt get past the "preparing to create a world" screen. I tried removing some mods but nothing helped. Can someone pls look at the log and tell me whats wrong.
