there are two files there: firstaid-common.toml and forge-common.toml. do I delete both?

not these files, you should delete this file:

there is no path /Users/owboy/Library/Application Support/minecraft/config/wpo/common.toml because the folder wpo doesnt exist in the folder minecraft.

Water Physics Overhaul is broken in how it handles config files. Report this to the mod author.

As a workaround create the wpo folder manually.

ok, thanks

Sorry to necro but I'm getting this error now, is there a particular way to identify the mod causing the issue(line in the crashlog)? asking because I have 150 mods on 1.16.5 and dread playing the whack-a-mole game to enjoy some Minecraft.

Link to crash log if interested: https://pastebin.com/uss45SQ7

Never mind found my cause in zombie awareness, anyone else having this issue too, you can find the problem mod toward the top on the line starting with caused by sandwitched between the lines starting with "at".
