I have recently been trying To install several mods into the forge instance, but the ones without the mod_*.class arent loaded at all (an example is optifine). I then after followed the installation instructions for optifine, I put it directly into the jar instead of the mods folder, and I added the runtime command, but I added two other mods without that class also, and It created problems. My main question is; Is there support for mods without the mod_*.class file, or is there a workaround? Because its would be very nice instead of having to manually go and merge the class files to get the mods that I want to work.

P.S: Link the the forge log : http://pastebin.com/s2zRiyJj

Thank you in Advance for your help,

Optifine isn't a mod in the normal sense. It is a Jar Mod.

It doesn't have a 'Mod Class' it injects itself directly into the jar. There is no way for us to 'Load' this.

However, we have put in place mechanisms that will allow Optifine to be a simple mods folder mod. Doesn't seem like he is using them yet though.

If a modder doesn't take advantage of the tools that we or modloader provides, then it's there issue.

I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated.
