I can't help you as I am in the same boat.  Kind of stuck on a mod until I can learn the mobs again.  Had it going in 1.4.7, but not so much in 1.6.2. . . If anyone has an up to date tutorial on how to make a very basic mob and get them to render, it would be very appreciated.  I think I just need the new render stuff.

so guys .. what not working ?

 

i have "entities" that arent mobs but they wernt affected by a change from 1.5.2 to 1.6.2

The only major change is the RenderYOURMOB class. The texture directory is now

writen there, and THERE IS A WHOLE DIFFERENT WAY OF RENDERING!

 

For those of you who have "invisible" mobs. HERE:

The mob is just invisible. That is my problem.
