The installer works fine on Java 8.

1.1.6.5 requires Java 8 to launch.

When I try to turn on the server with java 8, it doesn't even create logs and the installer doesn't work either.

Maybe I am downloading java from the wrong source (I downloaded it from the oracle website), can you post a link to download java 8?

Post the output of you running either one with Java 8 on the command line.

Something is loading, but it doesn't say anything.

Ok, I solved this problem. If any version of java was installed on your device and you did not uninstall it from the Apps & Features section, but only deleted the java folder from the program files, java will stop working properly.
