Hi!, I'm trying to get a valor  when modded living entity collides with the player. I'm trying:

if (this.position()==Player.position)

, but the Player.position has private access and i'm not sure if i can change it in someway.

If there's another way with collision boxes instead of positions it would be good too.

Sorry if this is not a big deal. I'm new and still learning on this.

Maybe you want?

this.closerThan(player, distance);

Where this is an entity and the distance is in blocks.

Boilerplate:

If you don't post your logs/debug.log we can't help you. For curseforge you need to enable the forge debug.log in its minecraft settings. You should also post your crash report if you have one.

If there is no error in the log file and you don't have a crash report then post the launcher_log.txt from the minecraft folder. Again for curseforge this will be in your curseforge/minecraft/Install

Large files should be posted to a file sharing site like https://gist.github.com  You should also read the support forum sticky post.

I think I took your question too literally?

What you really wanted is to find all players within a certain distance of your entity? You can do that with some code like this:

// This will only work on the logical server
public static List<ServerPlayer> findNearbyPlayersForEntity(Entity entity, double distance) {
    ServerLevel level = (ServerLevel) entity.level;
    return level.getPlayers(player -> entity.closerThan(player, distance) && !player.isSpectator());
}

Sorry if i didn't explain myself. I'm trying to detect a collision with the player in my entity.
