Try re-installing java cause it seems like it couldn't find the lwjgl jar in java.library.path.

Don't PM me with questions. They will be ignored! Make a thread on the appropriate board for support.

1.12 -> 1.13 primer by williewillus.

1.7.10 and older versions of Minecraft are no longer supported due to it's age! Update to the latest version for support.

would that be the JDK or just java itself?

To get the lwjgl runtime into your path while running from Netbeans and in general be able to run and debug in the NB IDE, look in the properties of the NB project, find the "Run" category and add the following to the fields there:

Main Class:  net.minecraft.launchwrapper.Launch

Arguments:  --version 1.6 --tweakClass cpw.mods.fml.common.launcher.FMLTweaker

VM Options:  -Xincgc -Xmx1024M -Xms1024M -Djava.library.path="<Full path to the Forge directory on your computer>\mcp\jars\versions\1.6.2\1.6.2-natives"

If you havent already done it, you probably also need to tweek the Netbeans project.properties file to set the build directory.  In the nbproject\project.properties file, you will need to set:

build.dir=mcp/bin

build.classes.dir=${build.dir}/minecraft

This worked except it did not load forge. i think it has something to do with this:

2013-08-17 17:05:05 [sEVERE] [ForgeModLoader] The binary patch set is missing. Things are probably about to go very wrong.

then i got this error:

Those errors are normal when running from the NB IDE but there is still something not right with your configuration.

Can you post more of the log?

For reference, this is the first part of my log:

@MaxM12,  Looks like you are using an older version of Forge (9.10.0.789).  I think I had some problems like this before and upgrading helped.  You might try the (9.10.0.804) version.

@Knux14, That tutorial is a little out of date now considering the location of all the jar files and such.  It also does not mention the Main Class or Arguments that are now required to run the new launcher.

I had to do two thing for a working Netbeans setup after importing from eclipse:

Under Run->Set Project Configuration->Customize:

  • Set the Working directory to <Forge path>\mcp\jars
  • Add to VM Options: -Djava.library.path="<Forge Path>\mcp\jars\versions\1.6.2\1.6.2-natives"

Without the working directory change, minecraft started but without any mod loading.

But there seems still something missing, because it crashes at world creation and currently i have no idea why.

Ok so, someone is writing a tutorial about it on the forum Ironcraft. The only problem is that its a french community, so the tutorial is in french, and the website is actually down :(

The only real difference in the output i have found so far is the following, but i have no idea what is causing it.

2013-08-20 23:07:56 [sEVERE] [ForgeModLoader] FML has detected a mod that is using a package name based on 'net.minecraft.src' : net.minecraft.src.BaseMod. This is generally a severe programming error.  There should be no mod code in the minecraft namespace. MOVE YOUR MOD! If you're in eclipse, select your source code and 'refactor' it into a new package. Go on. DO IT NOW!

tried this, no random errors this time still no mods loaded =\

i still think it has something to do with: "[sEVERE] [ForgeModLoader] The binary patch set is missing. Things are probably about to go very wrong."

Translation: (this is untested by me)

Start by decompiling Minecraft with MCP, then launch Netbeans.

Create a new Java project with existing sources. Choose location, name...then select the games sources folder /mcp/src/minecraft

Now go to your project properties.

In libraries, add every library from Mojang, then in run/ compile tests/ run tests tabs,

select "sources/compiled tests" and move this line on top of the list,

then check the "Generate projects on classpath" box.

Now in "run" tab add to the virtual machine options this line:

-Djava.library.path=natives_folder_path

Where natives_folder_path should be the complete path to the "natives" library folder.

If you have below 1.6:

In "main class" box, put net.minecraft.client.Minecraft and you are done.

If you have 1.6 or further:

You should already have included "LauncherWrapper" library.

In "main class" box, put net.minecraft.launchwrapper.Launch and in "Arguments" --version 1.6

If you have Forge on top of it, in the "Arguments" box, add --tweakClass cpw.mods.fml.common.launcher.FMLTweaker

It seems I finally got it working (with help from this http://www.minecraftforge.net/forum/index.php?topic=10543.0)

Step by step:

  • Edit the eclipse project file, replace MCP_LOC with the full path (using forward slashes) as in http://www.minecraftforge.net/wiki/NetBeans
  • Import the project in netbeans
  • In the project properties
    • Set the Working directory to <Forge path>\mcp\jars
    • Add to VM Options: -Djava.library.path="<Forge Path>\mcp\jars\versions\1.6.2\1.6.2-natives"
    • In the Libraries section, in all of the Tabs "Run", "Compile Test", "Run Tests": Just move "Compiled Sources" above "Classpath for Compiling Sources"
