My friends can't connect to my 1.19.2 forge server (forge 1.19.2 - 43.1.1).
I've already tried port-forwarding (TP-LINK EC220-G5)
Already disabled my windows firewall + created TCP/UDP rules

I can connect using "localhost" but others can't connect using my public ip...

I have a machine connected by team viewer to constantly test if it's working or not....

I did the EXACTLY same thing on my friend's PC and the server worked perfectly on his, the problem is that his PC can't handle game+server at same time (low ram)

Please help me with this.

(Were using older version on other thread, tried with most recent versions, same issue)

Does the server shown as online on your friend's PC?

No, it just returns the classic io.netty.channel.abstract error.

What i mean, if you friends add the server via "Add Server" to the server list is the server show as follows:

Do they have a ping when they hovering over the status at the right top?

Just tried it on a different PC on the same LAN/Network/IP as mine, server worked for others, port forwarding really worked.
Still don’t know why it doesn’t work with my own PC

Did you friends use the following ip-address pattern <router_ip>:<server_port> to connect to your server?

Yes, and I used the same port (25565) on both PCs (the one that worked and mine that doesn’t)

Then your Firewall or Antivirus blocks the connection or your port-forwarding does not work.

I did the exactly same thing on both, created rules for UDP and TCP for both entry and exit, and I don’t have any antivirus running

On my pc, when I try to check if the port is open (tried 3 different websites), it says port isn’t open. I have contacted my provider and they said the port is open..

At this point I'm pretty sure it isn’t a problem with forge…but I will be grateful if you could help me

Im sure it's not a problem with Forge, but you can post the debug.log from server and client (which can not connect) and i will take a look at that.

**** SERVER IS RUNNING IN OFFLINE/INSECURE MODE!
The server will make no attempt to authenticate usernames. Beware.
While this makes the game possible to play without internet access, it also opens up the ability for hackers to connect with any username they choose.
To change this, set "online-mode" to "true" in the server.properties file.

Why is your server running in offline Mode?

Why is your server running in offline Mode?

Because I've watched an yt tutorial that told me to do so. I’ve tried to run in online mode too, nothing changed.

Enable the online mode, the only reason to turn it of if you wish to have a offline server (playing without internet connection).

The server log shows that nobody connect to your server, but the client tries to connect and failed due a connection time out.
This means that there is no error with Forge or any installed Mod. The reason for this is that properly your Firewall or Antivirus blocks the connection or your port-forwarding does not work.

I'm not sure if that's the truth, since I looked at the client log again and noticed that your friends account authentication failed.
Do your friends own the game?

I don’t know what to do so my port-forwarding works….I’ve contacted my provider already and they said port is open..😩
