  • ElTotisPro50 changed the title to (1.18.2) copy the totem of undying functionality to a custom totem

Find a `public static final` field net.minecraft.item.Items for the item you need. Then look into its usages with IDEA or Eclipse.

I found a method that checks for the totem and you could take code from it: LivingEntity#checkTotemDeathProtection. (i am using snapshot 1.16.5 mappings)

thats all i want, to know how can i copy the totem functionality to a custom totem without events (not the animation)

You need to cancel LivingDeathEvent, this Event is required to do that.
Why do you want to do this without Events?

There is no way to do this like Minecraft does it. You are modding Minecraft using the Forge API, so use the stuff which is provided by Forge.
In your case it's LivingDeathEvent.
