Hi all!

I'd like to make my fishingnets enchantable as fishing rods.

It's a new topic for me.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thx!

bug fix

Override the enchantment policy methods in your Item class. e.g. something like (untested code)

    @Override
    public int getEnchantmentValue(ItemStack stack) {
        return 1;
    }

    @Override
    public boolean canApplyAtEnchantingTable(ItemStack stack, Enchantment enchantment) {
        if (enchantment.category == EnchantmentCategory.FISHING_ROD) {
            return true;
        }
        return super.canApplyAtEnchantingTable(stack, enchantment);
    }

Boilerplate:

If you don't post your logs/debug.log we can't help you. For curseforge you need to enable the forge debug.log in its minecraft settings. You should also post your crash report if you have one.

If there is no error in the log file and you don't have a crash report then post the launcher_log.txt from the minecraft folder. Again for curseforge this will be in your curseforge/minecraft/Install

Large files should be posted to a file sharing site like https://gist.github.com  You should also read the support forum sticky post.

Thank you very much!

It was easier than I expected.

I added

	@Override
	public boolean isEnchantable(ItemStack itemstack) {
		return true;
	}

too.

And implemented

	@Override
	public boolean canApplyAtEnchantingTable(ItemStack itemstack, Enchantment e) {
		return e == Enchantments.FISHING_LUCK || e == Enchantments.FISHING_SPEED || e == Enchantments.UNBREAKING;
	}

	@Override
	public int getEnchantmentValue(ItemStack itemstack) {
		return 2;
	}

this way.
