Posted May 16, 20232 yr Exception logged: Exception in thread "main" java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: task ':jar' property 'archiveVersion': Version string does not start with a number It occurs when I press the Play button in the Minecraft Launcher, and the exception is logged in the Minecraft game output. I just migrated a bunch of 1.16.5 mods to 1.18.2, but I went through and made sure all of them were up to date, if they were not compatable with 1.18.2 I deleted them. debug.log: https://gist.github.com/crazyforMcCafe/ecba0e53a00e821696a6112abc6a92e7 Minecraft game output (sorry it did not format nicely): https://gist.github.com/crazyforMcCafe/7d52dc29a605f2bccd3a6987982bbada
May 16, 20232 yr One of your mods has a broken version id. I am not familiar with the error, it says the version should be a number. Maybe this one? Quote [16May2023 11:13:15.165] [main/DEBUG] [net.minecraftforge.fml.loading.moddiscovery.ModFileInfo/LOADING]: Found valid mod file aquamirae-5.api10.jar with {aquamirae} mods - versions {5.api10} If it is not that one, look at your other mods that have versions beginning with a letter, maybe as the first character? Edited May 16, 20232 yr by warjort Boilerplate: If you don't post your logs/debug.log we can't help you. For curseforge you need to enable the forge debug.log in its minecraft settings. You should also post your crash report if you have one. If there is no error in the log file and you don't have a crash report then post the launcher_log.txt from the minecraft folder. Again for curseforge this will be in your curseforge/minecraft/Install Large files should be posted to a file sharing site like https://gist.github.com You should also read the support forum sticky post.
